Art Basel Miami's Most Ambitious Iteration

07 Oct 2022

The Miami Beach Convention Center will host this year's final Art Basel fair from November 29 to December 3. With a whopping 283 participating galleries, the 20th anniversary of the Miami fair will be the largest iteration to date.

Art Basel Miami Beach will bring together galleries from five continents to showcase the work of both established and rising artists in the contemporary art scene.

Special sector Meridians, curated by Magalí Arriola the Director of Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporaneo in Mexico City, will present large-scale projects that don’t adhere to the typical art fair setup.

Lively programming across the city sees the impact of Art Basel Miami extend far beyond the floor of the convention center.

Taking place directly on the beach during the same dates as Art Basel Miami is the independent Untitled Art fair. Also returning for its 20th edition is NADA Miami. Design Miami/ is back for the 18th time, with Maria Cristina Didero serving as the curator. Design Miami/ focuses on what is to come with The Golden Age: Looking to the Future, serving as this year's theme.

Miami museums bring their best to the biggest art week of the year. All Cultivist members can use their Cultivist card for free admission to The Bass Museum of Art and the Perez Art Museum Miami, which will have an exciting roster of artists like Simone Leigh and Leandro Erlich showing work for the duration of the fair.
